Connex Donates $2,500 To Connecticut Children’s Medical Center
The credit union collected donations from its employees and members of the community in support of Miracle Jeans Day in September.

Employees from Connex Credit Union were joined by President & CEO Frank Mancini and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Carl Casper in wearing jeans to work as part of a special fundraising campaign that resulted in Connex donating $2,500 to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford.

During the month of September, Connex Credit Union collected donations from its employees and members of the community in support of Miracle Jeans Day, a national promotion run by Credit Unions for Kids that helps fund cutting-edge research and innovative technology for hospitals in the Children’s Miracle Network.
Staff and members donated $1,300 while the credit union contributed $1,200. Employees who contributed $15 or more were permitted to wear jeans to work on Wed., Sept. 22.

“I’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came together once again in support of the young patients at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center,” said Carl Casper, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Connex Credit Union. “This is our seventh consecutive Miracle Jeans Day and we once again passed our $1,000 donation goal, a true testament to the spirit of our employees and the surrounding community.”
