Crash Backs Up I-91 South Traffic In Hartford

HARTFORD, CT — A busy morning on local interstates in Hartford continued late Wednesday morning as a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 south has snarled traffic.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the accident happened at about 11:51 a.m. Wednesday, resulting in the closure of the right lane.

DOT officials said the crash is between exits 29A and 27 and it is unknown when the scene will be cleared.

This latest crash is not far from where previous accidents Wednesday hampered rush-hour traffic, though those incidents were on the northbound side of the highway in Hartford and have, since, been cleared.
