Crash Cleared On Hartford Expressway: UPDATE

HARTFORD, CT — A major interstate was backed up with traffic following a two-vehicle accident in Hartford late Tuesday afternoon, but it was cleared rather quickly.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the crash happened on Interstate 84 West between exits 50 and 48.

This, the DOT reported, had closed the two right lanes and caused a 1.1-mile traffic jam between exits 56 and 49.

The crash was first reported at 4:20 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's accident report list.
