UPDATE: Crash On Hartford Highway Cleared

HARTFORD, CT — A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Hartford Friday morning caused a major traffic mess for morning commuters, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

The DOT reports the accident was on I-84 eastbound between exits 48 and 49.

As a result of the wreck, the right and center lanes of traffic were closed as responders tended to the scene.

The crash was first reported at 6:43 a.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident list.
