Update: Crash Causing Hartford Traffic Jam Cleared

HARTFORD, CT — Traffic was backed up 1.7 miles on Interstate 84 in Hartford after a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning, but the accident has since been cleared.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the accident happened on I-84 westbound between exits 50 and 48 at about 8:05 a.m.

This had resulted in the two left lanes being closed.

According to the DOT's Twitter feed, the accident was cleared by 8:42 a.m.
