Route 15 Crash Site Cleared In East Hartford: UPDATE

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A busy stretch of roadway in East Hartford was closed Thursday morning following an early morning incident that, reportedly, involved pedestrians.

After being closed for several hours, however, the scene was reopened to traffic prior to 7 a.m.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the three-vehicle crash was on Route 15 South just before Exit 91.

This prompted the roadway's closure, causing some traffic issues for motorists looking to merge onto Interstate 91.

WFSB Channel 3, citing police, said the incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday, two pedestrians were involved, and serious injuries were reported.
