Crash Snarls Traffic On Major Hartford Highway

HARTFORD, CT — A multi-vehicle accident on a rainy Interstate 91 in Hartford Friday morning is causing traffic headaches for commuters, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The DOT reports a two-vehicle wreck on I-91 South between exits 27 and 28, initially resulting in the closure of the right and center lanes, but then closing the right lane and right shoulder.

The accident was first reported at 6:05 a.m., and it is "unknown" when the scene will be cleared.
