Update: East Hartford Tractor Trailer Crash Cleared
I-84 east was closed in East Hartford after a jackknifed tractor trailer Tuesday morning.

EAST HARTFORD/HARTFORD, CT — The morning commute was a wet nightmare for greater Hartford motorists Tuesday morning after a tractor trailer crash closed Interstate 84 in East Hartford.
According to the state Department of Transportation, I-84 eastbound was closed between exits 55 and 56 after a tractor trailer has jackknifed on rain-slickened asphalt.
As of 8:55 a.m., DOT officials said the scene was cleared. The DOT said the tractor trailer crash happened at 6:12 a.m.

Connecticut State Police via Twitter said this morning no injuries were reported due to the crash.
Just after the tractor trailer incident, I-84 east between exits 52 and 53 was a mess after a three-vehicle crash snarled traffic at about 6:22 a.m.

As of 7:08 a.m. Tuesday, DOT officials said that crash was cleared just after Exit 52 on I-84, which is just past its intersection with Interstate 91.
According to the DOT, the left lane in that accident was closed for a bit of time.
