Credit Union Doles Out Cash For Community Nonprofits
Southington-based youth baseball league, a Simsbury elderly services group and Girl Scouts of Connecticut in Hartford all will benefit.

American Eagle Financial Credit Union has announced this year’s second quarter winners of "Cash Back to the Community" — three nonprofits from AEFCU’s service area.
Each will receive $27,603 in total donations for garnering the most support during the latest round of voting for the Credit Union’s popular philanthropic program, the credit union said July 18.
The 2022 second quarter winners, who will each receive $9,201 from American Eagle, include:

• Southington North Little League of Southington.
• For All Ages, based in Simsbury.

“We’re thrilled to support these awesome organizations and their missions through Cash Back to the Community,” said Howard Brady, president and chief executive officer of American Eagle Financial Credit Union.
“Each of our winners provides a positive, lasting impact in our service area—particularly on local young people—and American Eagle congratulates and thanks them for their service to the community.”
Southington North Little League is a youth baseball league based in Southington.
“Southington North Little League will use these funds to provide no-cost registration to our Challenger Division next year and make field updates that will serve the local community,” said Shaun Mcintyre of Southington North Little League.
“We are committed to inclusion and the power of youth baseball to provide life lessons that make our local community stronger and remain One Team. One Little League.”
Simsbury-based For All Ages is Connecticut’s only nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting the generations and inspiring action to end loneliness, reduce ageism and improve health and well-being.
“We are extremely grateful to American Eagle for this generous donation,” said Deb Bibbins, founder and chief executive officer of For All Ages. “We will use these funds to support our successful 12-week Tea @ 3 Community connecting college students with older adults one-to-one to tackle loneliness and grow an intergenerational friendship during the college semester.”

Girl Scouts of Connecticut is a leadership development organization for girls in Connecticut where it serves 7,770 girls in Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven and Tolland counties.

AEFCU donates 1 percent of its credit and debit card interchange income to three nonprofit and/or 501(c)(3) organizations each quarter through the "Cash Back to the Community" program.
Funding for the program is generated each time its members use an American Eagle Financial Credit Union credit or debit card.
