CT Fines Insurance Company
An insurance company was fined for not being in compliance with state law.
HARTFORD, CT — A Pennsylvania insurance company was fined $152,000 after it was found to be in violation of state law.
AmGUARD sells property and casualty insurance in the state and the violation was found during a 2018 examination by the state Insurance Department's market conduct unit, according to a press release.
AmGUARD will have to review its practices and procedures to come into compliance with state law.

"Consumer protection is the Connecticut Insurance Department’s top priority.
