CT Man Accused of Throwing Dog from Balcony, Trying to Choke Man
He faces assault and animal cruelty charges.

NEW BRITAIN - A man is accused of throwing a chihuahua off a second floor balcony and attempting to choke a man, NBC Connecticut reported.
Police said Shaquille McGriff, 24, was having a verbal argument Monday with someone he has a domestic relationship before choking someone else in the apartment, according to NBC Connecticut. It was after this he allegedly picked up the dog and threw it off the second floor balcony.
The dog was visibly injured, according to police, and transported to an animal hospital, NBC Connecticut reported. McGriff faces charges for assault and cruelty to animals.
