Developer Pitching $40 Million Downtown Hartford Plan

A developer has plans to build a massive $40 million mixed-use complex along the Connecticut River.

HARTFORD, CT — A developer has plans to build a $40 million mixed-use complex in Downtown Hartford, according to The Hartford Business Journal. The proposed development by Aqua Ark LLC of Rye, NY would include retail, restaurants, and event spaces along the Connecticut River and next to the Mortensen Riverfront Plaza.

To prevent flooding, plans call for the project to be built on floating technology that has recently been used in Europe. Plans for the complex will be reviewed at a planning, economic and housing committee meeting Tuesday.
