Downtown Hartford's The Press Cocktail Bar Closes

HARTFORD, CT — Prohibition-era-themed cocktail bar The Press has closed after a year in operation, The Hartford Business Journal reported. It was housed at 179 Allyn St. in the former Black Bear Saloon near Union Station.

The cocktail bar was operated by Jerry Fornarelli, who also owns The Russian Lady, The Tavern Downtown, and The Rocking Horse Saloon. The bar was in a six-story building renovated into apartment/retail space in 2015.
