East Hartford Bank Robbed; Suspect Sought

The suspect implied that he had a gun; however, no weapon was seen, according to police.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — Police are searching for a man who robbed a Farmington Bank branch on Main Street Tuesday morning, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Around 10:22 a.m., East Hartford police responded to the bank robbery, during which a suspect reportedly approached a teller and implied that he had a gun; however, no weapon was seen. He fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. There were no injuries, Lt. Joshua Litwin said.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s, standing about 5-feet-10 with a medium build, wearing a black baseball-style Adidas cap with a gray logo and a black windbreaker-style North Face jacket with a hood. The suspect also wore black sunglasses, Litwin said.
