East Hartford Man Pleads Guilty To Sex Trafficking Minor
He faces at least 10 years in prison.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — An East Hartford man pleaded guilty in federal court to sex trafficking a minor.
Alexander Pedraza, 28, promoted prostitution of a 16-year-old girl on Backpage.com and had sexual contact with the victim, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. He rented hotel rooms in Hartford, Windsor and East Windsor during March 2017.
Pedraza engaged in sex trafficking of at least two 18-year-old females between September and December 2016 as well, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

He has been detained since his arrest in May 2017 and faces a minimum mandatory prison term of 10 years and a maximum term of life.
