Man Shot Tuesday Night In East Hartford

The man was treated by East Hartford Fire Department paramedics.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A man shot Tuesday night in East Hartford is in stable condition following an incident near 30 Hillside St.

East Hartford police issued an update Wednesday afternoon saying the incident happened at about 8:08 p.m. Tuesday.

That's when the EHPD responded to that address on a report that a man had been shot, police said.

Subsequent investigation resulted in police finding an adult male in the stairwell of an apartment complex suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

According to police, the gunshot victim was treated by East Hartford Fire Department paramedics and taken to a nearby hospital.

"The victim underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition," police wrote in a statement.

The EHPD said this appears to have been an isolated incident with no apparent threat to the public.
