East Hartford Teen Served Warrant In Middletown Stabbing Case

An East Hartford teen has been charged in a wintertime Middletown stabbing incident police said.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A teen from East Hartford has been charged in connection with a stabbing during a vehicle-related larceny in Middletown.

The investigation dates back to Dec. 17. At 2:12 a.m. that day, a resident of Russet Lane in Middletown confronted a person trying to steal tires and wheels from his parked vehicle. Things became physical and, during the fight, the resident was stabbed several times in the torso, according to an incident report

The resident was transported to an area hospital and has since recovered from his injuries, according to police.

Detectives from the MPD Major Investigations Unit identified the attacker as 18-year-old Aneudi Sifuentes of East Hartford. Sifuentes was taken into custody via a warrant on Wednesday and charged with:

  • First-degree robbery with a corresponding conspiracy charge
  • First-degree assault with a corresponding conspiracy charge
  • Fourth-degree larceny with a corresponding conspiracy charge
  • Second-degree criminal trover with a corresponding conspiracy charge

Sifuentes was held on a $200,000 surety bond and was to appear in in court on Thursday, police said.
