'Edible Narcotics' Makes High School Student Sick In Hartford

The incident occurred Monday morning, according to authorities.

HARTFORD, CT — A student at Hartford's Bulkeley High School was treated at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Monday after she ate what local police described as an "edible narcotic," writes NBC Connecticut.

The girl, who had what hospital staff said was a minor reaction to the undisclosed narcotic, reportedly was in stable condition.

Another student - who has since been suspended by the school - gave the narcotic to the girl, and he told police he obtained it from a local store.
