Education @ Hartford Stage Will Launch Online Adult Acting Class

Education @ Hartford Stage launches its first Online Adult Acting Class in June

HARTFORD, CT — May 21, 2020 — In response to the Covid-19 pandemic and the need to cancel a series of Adult Education classes this spring, Education @ Hartford Stage has developed an online adult acting class that will launch June 2. The 5-week Online Scene Study class will take place on Tuesday evenings via Zoom and be taught by Hartford Stage Associate Education Director Nina Pinchin.

“While we are all missing being in a room with other people, these classes will give opportunities for social connection and creative expression — so crucial during this time of isolation.” said Director of Education Jennifer Roberts.

Keep your creative muscles active while stuck at home! In this online class, students will practice making strong acting choices as they explore scenes from popular contemporary plays. Whether you’re an acting regular missing the camaraderie of in-person rehearsals or a theatre novice who has always wanted to give it a try — this class is for all levels of experience. Classes will be held via Zoom, and login information will be provided upon registration.
