EZMedcard was founded by Daniel Remiszewski and Julien Debelle Duplan who met as students while attending Sacred Heart University and have since taken on several entrepreneurial and healthcare start-ups. The duo has followed the State’s successful and growing Medical Marijuana Program and have looked for opportunities to be involved.
“We’ve followed the program for a few years and have spoken with patients, producers, and dispensaries. We strongly believe that there are improvements that can be made in the patient registration process,” says co-founder Daniel. “We’re not only going to provide a convenient and safe professional service, but we’re going to provide education and awareness on Connecticut’s Medical Marijuana Program to the residents of Connecticut, the state we both call home.”

Since its inception 9 years ago, the Connecticut Medical Marijuana Program has over 49,000 registered patients, and there are over 1,300 Registered Physicians/APRNs who currently certify and evaluate patients within the program.
The program’s Board of Physicians approved Chronic Pain as its 38th qualifying debilitating condition last year. “We believe that the Connecticut Medical Marijuana Program is going to see significant growth now,” states Daniel. The company is prepared to take on this growth through their team of licensed Nurse Practitioners that conduct thorough medical evaluations from the convenience and safety of their home.
EZMedCard’s other co-founder Julien Debelle Duplan says, “The Covid-19 pandemic has created a sudden need to evaluate existing medical practices and look for ways to improve overall safety. The State has extended the approval of the use of Telehealth appointments and we’re here to provide that service to them.”
To be certified into the program current and potential patients must show proof of Connecticut residency and provide medical documentation supporting a state-approved medical condition.
