Family Displaced, Firefighter Injured In Hartford Blaze
A fire broke out at a Hartford residence Sunday night.
HARTFORD, CT — One firefighter suffered a minor injury battling a blaze in Hartford late Sunday night. The second-alarm blaze broke out at 435 Wethersfield Avenue in the South End neighborhood, according to a fire department Facebook post.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire in the rear porches that extended to the second and third floors as well as a neighboring building. There were no civilian injuries.
Th Fire Marshals office is investigating. The Special Services Unit is working with the American Red Cross to provide relocation assistance to one family with two people.
