Female Student at Hartford School Had Gun: PD

All students are safe, and the student will likely face charges, a police official said.

HARTFORD, CT — Hartford Public High School was briefly placed in lockdown status Friday afternoon as police investigated a report of a female student with a gun.

Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley reported on Twitter a collaborative effort between city officers and school security led to discovery of a .45 caliber handgun in the female's possession.

The student was removed from the premises and will likely face charges, Foley said.
