Former Hartford Restaurant To Become Cannabis Growing Facility: Report
The former Chowder Pot IV restaurant in Hartford is being converted into a cannabis dispensary, according to a report.
HARTFORD, CT — The former Chowder Pot IV restaurant in Hartford is being converted into a cannabis dispensary, according to a report in the Connecticut Post.
A fixture at 165 Brainerd Road for nearly 30 years, that 28,000 square-foot building had a long history in the local dining scene, as it first opened as a steakhouse in 1965. It shuttered in January.
INSA, a Massachusetts based cannabis dispensary, has plans to convert the eatery into a cannabis dispensary. The Restoration Lighting Gallery across the street is also part of INSA's Hartford shopping spree; its 3,100 square-feet will be more than doubled, and used for retail and educational space. The company currently has operations in Massachusetts, Florida and Pennsylvania.
