Free Backpacks To Be Given Away At 2 Hartford McDonald's Sites This Week

Local McDonald's owner-operators will give away free backpacks to students at two Hartford restaurants on Aug. 5 while supplies last.

HARTFORD, CT — Students preparing to head back to school will have an opportunity to receive free backpacks during a pair of giveaway events at Hartford McDonald's restaurants this week.

Local McDonald's owner-operators across New England are launching the Golden Arches Pack Giveback Program.

This community initiative will provide free backpacks to students in need from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, while supplies last.

In Hartford, participating restaurants are located at:

  • 214 Prospect Ave., Hartford
  • 170-176 Washington St., Hartford

According to organizers, the backpack giveaways are part of local McDonald's owner-operators' ongoing efforts to support families as students prepare to return to school.
