Free Vaccination Clinic Coming Up In Bridgeport

Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater​ will host the event this month, where people can receive free COVID-19 vaccinations with no appointment.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater will provide COVID-19 vaccinations for any eligible person age 12 and older Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The free vaccination clinic will be hosted at the brand-new Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport where anyone who receives their shot will also win prizes including $25 gift cards and Live Nation concert tickets, according to a statement.

Starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday, vaccines will be free, and no appointment is necessary.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. anyone that comes to the free vaccine clinic will have their choice of the one-shot Johnson & Johnson or two shot Pfizer. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. only Pfizer will be available.

Children over 12 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to get vaccinated. Any unvaccinated person is eligible to receive a free vaccine.

“Hartford HealthCare St. Vincent’s Medical Center is honored to partner with Connoisseur Media, and the City of Bridgeport to distribute more COVID vaccine to our community at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater. This unique partnership is another opportunity to reach the unvaccinated and enhance the safety of the community,” Bill Hoey, Hartford HealthCare VP of mission integration Fairfield Region, said in a statement.

The Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater is located at 500 Broad Street in Bridgeport and parking is free.
