A GLOW of Hollywood Comes To Connecticut

Jeanne Basone was the first GLOW Girl on the original GLOW serise and lasted all four seasons she has had a succesful film career being on such films as Sister Act, and Son In Law she is an accomplished pro wrestler and stunt-woman. She guest starred in international award Winning film "Silent Times" Directed By Christopher Annino. The current Emmy award winning GLOW series is based on the original series that she starred in back in the 80's. The original GLOW series was ahead of its time and truly was a great tool to help empower female pro wrestlers. It had a great deal of variety and provided phenomenal athletic entertainment. She had a tag team partner Vine together they were Hollywood and Vine a viscous heel tag team that took no prisoners. Its rumored that she also going to be in a documentary about the complete history of women's professional Wrestling. Several years ago she was honored at the Cauliflower Ally Club as being inducted in as one of many GLOW girls. She is planning a GLOW cruise www.OriginalGLOWgirls.com that is looking to be phenomenal and fun for September 2019. Jeanne will be filming both projects as well as working on both a comic book and autobiography on her life.

Q: Tell me about the dark comedy The Lolipop Gang?

A: " I get to play Kim F'ing Barnes who is based on an actual New London resident. She is a pretty street smart chick, so she thinks…Who has this off and on relationship with Nick played by critically acclaimed Connecticut Actor Joe Nemchek. Every time we get together and get on a set we have hilarious times ! everybody is really really good in the lollipop gang! It’s almost like hanging out with your best friends! Steve Blance from GLOW is in it as well as such wrestlers as Angel Orsini ECW,Damien Darko, ECW/WWE Bill Pierce, WWE Legend Killer Bee Brian Blair, WWE Legend Greg Valentine, WWE Legend Tito Santana, NWA Champion Andrew Anderson, Monster Factory- Greywolf Raventhorne, NWA New England Brass Knuckles Champion Rescue 911, and GLOW Lightening

Q: The film Silent Times shot in Connecticut what role do you play?

A: "I play the character breezy which is directed by Christopher A and I love that it’s set in the roaring 20s and working with Chris is always a pleasure. I seem to learn more and more from him every time we get together!"

Q: Please explain what the Cauliflower Alley Club is ?

A: "CAC is a Convention that I attend every year, I am also a lifetime member CAC is a non-prophet fraternal organization comprising of both retired and active professional wrestler’s. What I love about this club is they have a benevolent fund to help people involved in professional wrestling in times of difficulty., proceeds are raised for the fund during the annual reunion weekend. I’m proud to be a part of this mix of wonderful people!"

Q: What do you think about music?

A: I love music !! I grew up with it ever since I was a baby mom used to have a radio that sat in my little baby walker. Ive been into live music ever since the neighbor next-door rehearsed outside with his band! Music just brings me joy and happiness. I Love watching my boyfriend on stage he is a singer and guitar player who plays with Gene Simmons solo band and Ace Frehley’s solo band."
