Greater Hartford Schools to Play In Boys Hoop Tournaments
Teams from Hartford, East Hartford and Bloomfield will be competing in all five CIAC boys basketball tournaments beginning Monday.

GREATER HARTFORD, CT — Brackets for the CIAC boys basketball tournaments were released Wednesday morning, and multiple teams from Hartford, East Hartford and Bloomfield will be competing for state championships.
East Hartford (14-6) is seeded No. 14 in Division I, and will host No. 19 Kennedy (7-13) Monday at 7 p.m. That same date and time, No. 21 Weaver (6-14) travels to No. 12 Trumbull (15-5).
In Division II, No. 24 Hartford Public (10-10) plays at No. 9 Amity Regional (15-5), while No. 25 Bloomfield (10-10) visits No. 8 Manchester (15-5), both Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Prince Tech (18-2) is seeded third in Division III, drawing a first-round bye, and will host a second-round matchup against the Darien-Daniel Hand winner Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Division IV finds SMSA and Classical Magnet each hosting opening round games Tuesday at 7 p.m. No. 6 SMSA (15-5) entertains No. 27 Kaynor Tech (8-12), while No. 9 Classical (14-6) is challenged by No. 24 Jonathan Law (9-11).

HMTCA and Capital Prep each hit the road Monday at 7 p.m. for first-round contests in Division V. No. 17 HMTCA (9-11) visits No. 16 Putnam (10-10), while No. 21 Capital Prep (8-12) travels to No. 12 Whitney Tech.
