Greater Hartford Schools Set For Girls Basketball Tournaments
Five teams based in Hartford or Bloomfield have qualified for state tournament play, according to the brackets released Wednesday morning.

HARTFORD-BLOOMFIELD, CT — The road to Mohegan Sun starts Monday and Tuesday, as four Hartford schools, Bloomfield and 125 other high school girls basketball teams begin their quests for state championships in the CIAC tournaments.
Prince Tech (13-7) is seeded 18th in Class M, and will travel to No. 15 Plainfield (13-7) Monday at 7 p.m.
Capital Prep (12-6) is seeded 14th in Class L, and will host No. 19 Suffield (11-9) Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Three local teams have qualified in Class S, and all will play Tuesday at 7 p.m. No. 10 SMSA (14-6) hosts No. 23 Windham Tech (10-10), No. 18 Bloomfield (11-9) visits No. 15 Gilbert (12-8) and No. 20 Weaver (10-10) plays at No. 13 Housatonic Regional (13-7).
