Greater Hartford Teams Seeking State Baseball Championships

GREATER HARTFORD, CT — Four high school teams from Hartford and East Hartford are seeking to capture state baseball championships beginning Tuesday, as pairings for the CIAC tournaments were announced Friday.

East Hartford is the ninth seed in Class LL and will host No. 24 Wilton in a first-round matchup, while Hartford Public, the No. 30 seed in LL, travels to No. 3 Ridgefield.

In Class M, No. 11 University/Classical hosts No. 22 Goodwin Tech, while in Class S, No. 23 SMSA visits 10th-seeded East Granby.

Top seeds in the four divisions are Fairfield Prep (LL), Windsor (L), Haddam-Killingworth (M) and Shepaug Valley (S).
