Hartford Barber Shop Burglarized, Items Worth $10K Stolen

A barber shop that's served the community for decades was burglarized.

HARTFORD, CT — Burglars broke into Peter's Unisex Hairstyling in Hartford and stole more than $10,000 worth of items, including scissors and clippers, according to NBC CT. The shop's owner said they would be out of business for a while as they have no tools.

Peter Tsakiris has owned the shop since 1965 and operated the at the current Maple Avenue location since 1993. Community members and other barbers are stepping up with donations and an online fundraiser.
