Hartford-Based Insurance Giant Being Wooed By Massachusetts
The governor of the Bay State is in ongoing talks about a possible relocation of the Connecticut company to the Boston area.

HARTFORD, CT — A year after Connecticut lost General Electric to Boston, the commonwealth of Massachusetts is making a serious attempt to lure another huge company to the Bay State.
Fox61 reported longtime health insurer Aetna Inc. has been in "ongoing talks" with Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker for several months about relocating to the Boston area, which would cost Connecticut about 6,000 jobs.
Aetna was found in Hartford in 1853. This week, the company reported fourth-quarter earnings of $139 million on revenue of $15.73 billion.
