Hartford Children Invited To Urban League Trunk Or Treat

Children and teens who live in Hartford, Conn. are invited to a fun, free outdoor event that includes the safe distribution of candy. The Urban League of Greater Hartford will present its first-ever “Trunk or Treat” this Friday, October 30 – the day before Halloween – from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Urban League’s office at 140 Woodland St. (corner of Woodland St. and Sargeant St.) in Hartford, Conn. In case of rain, the event will be held on Friday, November 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

All (including adults) are encouraged to come in costume.

Decorated cars and booths – hosted by community organizations, companies and individuals – will safely distribute prepackaged candy and treats in a tailgate-style. Featured will be a deejay, Double-Dutch jump rope demonstrations, children’s books giveaway, an arts & crafts booth, selfie photo opportunities, a variety of prizes, and the first ever, ULGH costume parade.

Attendees should wear masks throughout the entirety of the event (masks also will be available for those who need), cars and booths will be socially distanced, and COVID-19 safety protocols will be observed.

When registering, choose one of four different entry times: 4:00 p.m.; 4:30 p.m.; 5:00 p.m.; or 5:30 p.m. All young children should be accompanied by an adult. Parade times are 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
