Hartford College Hosting Major Art Exhibit This Month
Capital Community College in Hartford is home this month to the 32nd annual National Arts Competition and Show.

HARTFORD, CT — Local artists from Greater Hartford and Middlesex counties are featured in the 32nd annual National Arts Competition and Show.
The exhibit is at the CT State Capital Community College, 950 Main St., Hartford, on the second floor. The art exhibit opened March 1 and will continue through March 26.

The public is invited to a reception and presentation of awards on Thursday, March 13.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m. at CT State Capital Community College. Light refreshments will be served.

The evening will feature a special celebration of Ellis Echevarria, an award-winning artist.
A total of $3,450 in cash prizes will be awarded to youths, teens, and adults at the amateur, intermediate and professional levels.
The show — which features 130 works — is underwritten by The National Arts Program and hosted by the Community Renewal Team, in coordination with the Connecticut Art Education Association.
The art exhibit is free and open to the public. Visitors can view the art through March 26, Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
