Hartford Coronavirus Update: Hospital To Furlough Workers
The operator of four Connecticut hospitals has announced it will furlough some workers to focus on responding to the pandemic.
HARTFORD, CT — Trinity Health, operator of four Connecticut hospitals, said it will furlough some employees and reduce the hours of others, The Hartford Courant reported. Trinity Health operates St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Hartford, Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, and St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.
It's not yet clear where the furloughs will occur and how long they might last. Hospital officials said mostly non-clinical staff will be furloughed as the focus remains on fighting the COVID-19 virus, according to The Courant.
