Hartford Double Shooting Leaves Two Brothers Dead: Reports

Police are searching for a suspect in a Tuesday night double homicide.

HARTFORD, CT — Two brothers were killed in a shooting in Hartford Tuesday night, WFSB 3-TV reported. The victims were Leon Kelly, 46, and Charles Kelly, 47.

Police responded to 161 Westminster St. shortly before 6 p.m. Both victims were found inside the home and had been shot multiple times.

Both men were transported to St. Francis Hospital where they were pronounced dead, according to WTNH News-8.

Police said that it appears the shooting was a double homicide and that the shooter did not live in the home. Police are searching for the suspect as they believe the shooting was targeted, WTNH News-8 reported.

Westminster Street at Lyme Street was closed during the investigation and has since reopened.
