Hartford Father Charged After Baby Overdoses: Reports

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford father has been charged by city police after his 11-month-old infant ingested fentanyl and suffered a non-fatal overdose, according to reports.

WFSB Channel 3, citing the Hartford Police Department, has identified the suspect as being Luis Gonzalez, 46, of Hartford.

According to WVIT Channel 30, the baby's mother found the child lying unresponsive on top of Gonzalez, with the mother finding a bag with a blue pill near the father's pocket.

WVIT said Gonzalez appeared in court Tuesday and is being held on $200,000 bond.
