Hartford Fire Displaces 15 People

Firefighters worked through the night to extinguish the blaze.

HARTFORD, CT — Firefighters extinguished a blaze early Sunday morning that displaced 15 people, according to a Facebook post from the fire department. The fire broke out at a three family home at 55 to 57 Westland Street at 1:47 a.m.

Fire companies worked through the night to extinguish the fire. There was heavy damage to the structure, and the home has been deemed uninhabitable. The fire is under investigation.

No injuries to residents were reported. One firefighter was injured.

The American Red Cross provided assistance to the three families—10 adults, five children—who were displaced.
