Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging Welcomes New Hire

Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging welcomes Irene Puccio, as a resource coordinator in Hartford. Hartford HealthCare Center for Healthy Aging has sites across Connecticut and is a resource and assessment center designed to enhance access to services and information related to attaining optimal quality of life for seniors and their caregivers.

Formally a care manager for Connecticut Community Care in Bristol, CT. There Puccio managed over 80 cases per month, assisted with benefits and state program applications, coordinated homecare services and educated clientele with community resources.

“I have a passion for what I do and to see a smile on the faces of our clients makes my job much more worth it,” Puccio said.

Puccio received her bachelor of science in Liberal Studies with a concentration in communication, psychology and sociology from Charter Oak State College in New Britain, CT. She carries an expertise of 15 years working with the elderly community.

In her new role, she will support services in Spanish and English that include: assessing and identifying the needs of seniors, connecting them to resources, assisting in educating and training programs for caregivers and family members, connecting and collaborating with community providers to assist seniors and their families with programs to benefit their overall independence and wellbeing.
