Hartford Resident Accused Of Shooting Man: Police
Police said a man in his 30s was shot and rushed to the hospital.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man was taken into custody after police said he shot a man late last week.
According to the Hartford Police Department, the suspect has been identified as Quron Waters, 34, of Maple Avenue, Hartford.
Police said he was charged with first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, possession of large capacity magazines (five counts), possession of a silencer, and theft of a firearm.

According to the HPD, at about 9:57 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, officers were called to the area of 356 Maple Ave. following a ShotSpotter activation.
"Upon arrival, officers located a gunshot victim, a male in his 30s, who was alert and conscious at the scene," wrote the HPD.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes Division and Crime Scene Division responded and assumed control of the investigation.
During the course of the investigation, detectives developed information on the suspect and executed a search and seizure warrant at the suspect’s residence, the HPD said.
As a result, multiple illegal firearms were seized, police said.
The suspect was charged in connection with the shooting and related firearms offenses and transported to the HPD Detention Division for processing, wrote police.
