Hartford Man Attacks Roomie With Steak Knife: Cops
A weekend argument turned ugly, police said.

Hartford, CT — A 76-year-old man has been arrested for stabbing his roommate with a steak knife, Hartford police said.
On Saturday 2:25 p.m., two men who shared a dwelling were in a heated argument and one stabbed the other three times with a steak knife, police said. Officers found the victim alert and conscious in front of his residence at 67 Blue Hills Ave., police said.
The victim was uncooperative at first, but then spoke with with officers and detectives at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, police said. Officers then returned to the residence and placed the suspect in custody without incident, police said.

The knife was recovered and a witness was located and interviewed, police said.
There were no other reported injuries, police said.

Arrested in the case was Karl Walford, 76, of 67 Blue Hills Ave., police said. He was charged with first-degree assault and disorderly conduct, according to police records.
