Hartford Man Charged Following Search Of Home: Feds

A Hartford man was found in possession of more than 12,000 dose bags of suspected fentanyl, according to prosecutors.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man has been charged with federal drug and gun crimes, according to prosecutors. Christopher Alamo, 33, was charged with possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and 40 grams or more of fentanyl, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of more than 50 years in prison.

Alamo was arrested following a Jan. 13 search of his home in which police found more than 12,000 dose bags of suspected fentanyl, about 390 grams of loose fentanyl, about one kilogram of cocaine, about 300 grams of marijuana, items used to process and package drugs for street sale, a .40 caliber Glock 22 handgun equipped with a loaded high-capacity magazine, a separate large capacity magazine loaded with 51 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and a bulletproof vest, according to prosecutors.
