Hartford Man Charged With Murder In Death Of Elderly Woman: Police
The 75-year-old victim was found dead in her apartment on Sunday.

HARTFORD, CT — City police have taken a 52-year-old Hartford man into custody for a murder charge Sunday night after officers responding to a well-being check found a woman dead inside a Washington Street apartment.
According to the Hartford Police Department, the HPD has charged Ottahu Holder, 52, of Hartford, in connection with the case.
Holder, whose address is listed as 39 Greenfield St., faces charges of murder and interfering with police.

Holder’s bond was set at $1 million.
The woman, identified as Linda Anthony, 75, of Hartford, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the HPD, patrol officers were dispatched at about 6:58 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, to an apartment at 194 Washington St. for a report of a woman who was unconscious and not breathing.
When officers arrived, they encountered a man inside the apartment who refused to cooperate and would not allow them entry, police said.
Officers then forced their way into the apartment, where they found a woman suffering from severe head trauma and the man described as aggressive, police said
The man was secured by officers, police said.
Investigators from the department’s Major Crimes Division and Crime Scene Division responded and took over the investigation, which remains ongoing.
