Hartford Man Charged With Pouring Boiling Water On Woman, Baby

A man is accused of pouring boiling water on a woman and an an infant while they were sleeping, according to a report.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man is facing felony charges on accusations that he poured boiling water on a woman and a baby, according to The Hartford Courant. Tiston Ellis, 25, of Farmington Avenue, was charged with first-degree assault, risk of injury to a child, and first-degree reckless endangerment.

He was held on $500,000 bond and is due to appear in court Dec. 2.

The incident occurred when the woman and infant were sleeping. They suffered first and second-degree burns, according to The Hartford Courant.
