Hartford Man Charged With Sexually Abusing Child

Manchester police collaborated with Hartford police to arrest 32-year-old on Wednesday.

MANCHESTER/HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man is in custody by Manchester police after being charged with sexually abusing a child.

According to a release from the Manchester Police Department, 32-year-old Jesus Manuel Figueroa of Hartford was charged Wednesday with:

• Four counts of first-degree sexual assault.

• Three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.

• One count of third-degree strangulation or suffocation.

• Seven counts of risk of injury/impairing the morals of a minor.

He is being held on $750,000 bond pending an appearance in Manchester Superior Court Thursday.

Manchester police said its detectives "conducted an extensive investigation and a warrant for the arrest of Figueroa was issued."

The suspect was taken into custody Wednesday by Manchester officers, with the assistance of the Hartford Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit.
