Hartford Man Charged In Shooting: Feds
A Hartford man on supervised release was arrested on accusations he was connected to a December shooting.
HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man was charged in connection with a shooting, according to federal prosecutors. Brandon Spence, aka "Spun," 33, was charged on a criminal complaint charging him with violating the conditions of his federal supervised release.
In 2019, Spence was sentenced in Hartford federal court to 2 years in prison and 3 years of supervised release for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Spence was released from federal prison in February 2020.

According to prosecutors, at about 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 7, Hartford Police surveillance cameras captured Spence and another person in an argument in a parking lot at 20 Enfield St. Spence pulled out a gun, shot the person in the leg, and then stole the victim’s vehicle.
