Hartford Man Indicted On Child Pornography Charges
A city man was in court Wednesday on child pornography charges.
HARTFORD, CT — A city man was indicted on child pornography charges Wednesday, according to a statement from John H. Durham, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Ronald Daniel, 49, was charged with two counts of production of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography.
The indictment alleges that, between February 2018 and December 2018, Daniel produced and distributed child pornography.
Daniel faces up to 30 years in prison for each count of production of child pornography and up to 20 years for the distribution of child pornography charge.

Durham stressed that an indictment is not evidence of guilt as charges are only allegations, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Daniel has been detained since his arrest on related state charges on June 10.

This matter is being investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the Connecticut State Police and the Vernon Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Nancy V. Gifford.
