Hartford Man Indicted On Gun, Drug Offenses
A federal grand jury indicted the man. He faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
HARTFORD, CT — A city man was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday on narcotics and firearm offenses.
Orlando Soto, 27, possessed fentanyl and crack cocaine that he intended to sell along with three handguns, according to the indictment. He has previous convictions in state court for firearm, narcotic and larceny offenses.
Soto was arrested in July 2018 and has been in custody since. He is charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and crack cocaine and one count of possession of firearms by a convicted felon. He faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted on both.
