Hartford Man Killed In Scooter Crash In City Sunday: Police

Hartford police identified a 53-year-old local man as the scooter rider killed in the crash.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man died after a collision involving a motor vehicle and a scooter at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and Stone Street, according to Hartford police on Sunday night, July 12.

Officers responded to the crash after receiving reports of a motor vehicle and scooter collision involving serious injuries.

The Hartford Police Department said all parties involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The scooter operator, identified as Luis A. Collazo, 53, of Hartford, was pronounced dead at the scene after succumbing to his injuries, police said.
