Hartford Man Pleads Guilty To Gun Charge: Feds

Allen Evans pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon.

HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man pleaded guilty to gun charges, according to Leonard C Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Allen Evans, 35, pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon.

According to prosecutors, Hartford Police stopped a car Oct. 23, 2020, in which Evans was a passenger. Evans was arrested after police found a loaded Taurus Model 85 “.38 Special” handgun and additional ammunition.

Evans was on state probation at the time following a conviction in 2018 for possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle.

Evans is scheduled for sentencing Dec. 14.
