
HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man pleaded guilty in federal court to possessing a gun and distributing heroin.
Rufus Howell, 40, was arrested in June 2017 after a loaded 9mm pistol, 14 grams of heroin and fentanyl, 40 grams of cocaine and marijuana were found in his vehicle.

He pleaded guilty to one count possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon, an offense that carries a maximum term of imprisonment of 10 years, and one count of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, an offenses that carries a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years.
